Viking Period Pewter Key Pendant
Pewter Viking Key Pendant
This pretty little pewter key pendant is based of of similar keys from the Viking period.
Traditionally, around 1,000 years ago, Viking women used to wear a key around their neck in order to show that they (not their husbands) were in charge of the household and surrounding land. This jurisdiction included all locked items such the house, jewellery and money chests.
Cast and hand finished by Viking experts in Scotland, the pewter Viking age key pendant is supplied with a piece of black waxed cord to hang it from.
Perfect for the Norsewoman wanting to show who's still the boss around this house.
