What data do we collect?

In order to provide our Services, we collect or receive your personal information in a few different ways. Often, you choose what information to provide, but sometimes we require certain information for you to use and for us to provide you our services.

Store account & rewards points

We like to give all of our customers the option of creating a store account to speed up future purchases. We also offer them the opportunity to earn rewards for their loyalty by signing up to our rewards point scheme ‘Bite Coins’. In order to do so we need to get some basic information from you in, to make sure that any rewards or orders go to the right person (you!). If you do not wish to make a store account, you can always check out as a guest.

If you wish to sign up to our Bite Coins reward point scheme, you'll need to make a store account for us to identify you with and to assign your points to. To use this service you need to provide us with a valid email address, as well as a username (this username doesn’t have to be your real name but we use it to identify you from others who have also signed up). You will then have to make a password for your account, this is to keep it secure so you account can only be accessed using your account name/ email address and password. Your password will be stored by Shopify. Here at Happy Piranha LTD we do not have access to or ever see your password, although for security we suggest that you don't use the same password for multiple accounts or services.

When creating a rewards account it is optional for you to enter your date of birth, in order for you to receive bonus rewards points on your birthday. If you do not want this information to be stored please do not fill in a birth date, however if you would like to receive a small reward from us on your birthday go ahead!

When creating a store or Bite Coins account your email address will not be used for marketing emails, unless you opt in to receive these updates.

Your email will be used to:

  • Send rewards vouchers
  • contact you in response to any store related problems or queries
  • Provide information on resetting your password should you ever need to
  • Send order details and confirmation
  • Provide abandoned checkout emails to customers who didn’t complete the checkout period
  • Contact you with any problems processing your order.
We do not sell or share your details with any other businesses for marketing.

Depending on which services you choose to use, additional information such as billing and payment information (including billing contact name, address, credit card information), a telephone number, and/or a physical postal address, may be necessary in order for us to provide a particular service.

You are not required to provide us with this information to sign up, but we will need it to provide certain services. For example, we need a physical postal address if you are buying something on the site for delivery. We need your card or payment information if this is a service that needs paying for. We may need to store credit card information (or arrange for it to be stored) and use it for both billing and payment purposes. Depending on your local jurisdiction, you can also choose to allow us to save your credit card information to facilitate the checkout process for future purchases.

Your account name will also be displayed on any reviews or comments you leave on HappyPiranha.com.

Any of this information can be edited, deleted or revised in your account settings or if necessary by getting in contact with us, either using our contact form or via email at; info@happypiranha.com.

Purchasing from our store or checking out as a guest

In order to purchase from our store there is certain information that we require from you.

We may, for example, need to contact you by email (or telephone) to confirm your order, or about any problems or changes regarding your purchase. There's details we require to make sure your order gets sent to where you would like it (postal address, contact name, delivery instructions), and there's data we require to complete payments for your orders (card holders name, number, billing details etc).

If you have a store account the details are password protected and can be remembered to enable faster checkout in the future. If you check out as a guest you will be required to enter these details each time you checkout, unless you have set your browser up to auto fill form data.

We do not personally hold any of your card information, this will be down to the responsibility of the payment provider selected: Visa checkout, PayPal or Shopify Pay (powered by Stripe).

For us to process your order, we need to know your name, email address, delivery address, credit/debit card number, security code and expiry date.

We will not collect any information about you unless it is specifically and knowingly provided by you. The information we collect will be accurate and up to date, as provided by you.

You can check this at any time by emailing us at info@happypiranha.com. We will immediately correct any inaccuracies you report.

Once an order is placed, your delivery details will be stored on our order history. This is so that we can deal with any problems with orders, e.g: Faulty items, returns and delivery issues and for tax records etc.

HappyPiranha.com does not hold or store your credit card information during this process.
