Bronze Jorvik Thor's Hammer

The Jorvik Thor's hammer pendant is a modern take on a classic Viking period hammer.

The solid bronze hammer's shaft is detailed with a design featuring a Jelling style dragon, found on a carved cross from the Isle of Man.

The design on the head of the hammer is taken from a bone trial piece found in the Coppergate excavations, at York (Jorvik - the Viking capitol in England). It shows a typical style knotwork from the period. Interestingly, the original Coppergate carving was incomplete and has been finished it off in this design.

Cast in the UK and hand finished by Viking experts in Scotland, the bronze Jorvik Thor's hammer pendant comes with a black leather thong to hang it from.
