Whether you want to play our wide array of board games, battle it out at tabletop wargames, or book a table for dungeons and dragons, trading card games or something else, we've probably got space for you!

If you come regularly, you might want to consider a membership, as there's savings to be made.

Piranha Café Membership

Daytime Board Games

While we have games out on the tables, you can access our much larger board game library in the day from just £5 per person (£4 for juniors), or save a little with a Family Ticket (£15) for 2 hours of gaming. Members can use our board game library at a reduced rate and for Piranha Plus Members, it's free!

If you're buying food or drinks, we have a 30 minute free period, for you to play the games already out on the tables, or your own games if you want to bring those too.

Daytime Board Gaming Pricing & Rules

  • Adults (18+) £5 per person for 2 hours
  • Juniors (Under 18) £4 per person for 2 hours
  • Family Ticket (4 persons, max 2 adults) £15 for 2 hours
  • Member: £2 per hours
  • Piranha Plus Member: Free (Subject to usage). Nominee members £2 per hour. Accompanying guests £2 per hour

Café customers may play the games already provided on the tables for free for up to 30 minutes. You can also bring your own games to play for free during this time.

If you wish to play games from our library, or stay longer to play your own, the charges above will apply per person at the table.

There will be a 10 minute grace period for packing up your game.

Any overtime will be charged in 30 minute segments, starting from the end of your initial 2 hours. This is an additional 25% of the above charges every time you start an additional 30 minutes.

Charges are based on a standard sized table for board games and may differ for those requiring extra or additional space.

Can I Bring My Own Games?

You're more than welcome to bring your own games yes, and can play them for free for up to 30 minutes if you are using the café for food and drink.

Anytime over this will require you to pay the board gaming fee.

We'd rather customers pay for a table and game at their leisure, rather than enforcing set or frequent food or drink purchases, which is both confusing to monitor and more pressure for you!

While we love to be a hangout, table space is a premium and we've got to cover our costs to stay open too :)

Booking for a Larger Group or Event

If you're wanting to book a board gaming session for a larger group, event or an extended period of time, get in touch and we can see how best we can facilitate you.

We also have some private rooms which may be more suitable.

Wargaming & Terrain

Depending on the game you want to play, we can provide a 6x4ft or 4x4ft gaming table for you for up to 4 hours of play. We also have terrain you can borrow. Wargaming spaces are limited, so preferably you'll need to book.

Daytime Prices:

  • Non-Members: £10 per person
  • + £5.00 for terrain and mat hire if required
  • Members: 20% discount.
  • Piranha Plus Members: 40% discount.

(Subject to availability booking recommended).

Want to play regularly? T.A.G.S hold a Weekly Wargaming Night every Monday for £7.

Book a Basic Table

If you you just want to book a standard table that's not for board or wargaming - be it for Dungeons & Dragons, trading card games, or whatever else, you can do that too!

  • Non members: £5 per 2 hours
  • Members: £2 per 2 hours
  • Piranha Plus Members: FREE - you can also bring 4 guests at a reduced rate of £2 per person (per 2 hours)

Private Bookings & Events

If you're wanting to book an event, longer or larger session or private function, get in touch and we may be able to help.

As well as private rooms to hire we're always open to seeing how best we can facilitate your get together!

Evening Entry

After 5:30pm things work a little differently. Unless you're attending a weekly club or organised event, you'll need to book a table, or pay the evening entry fee:

  • Non-members: £6.50*
  • Members: £3*
  • Piranha Plus Members: FREE!*

* Additional charges may apply for larger tables, wargames or bookings. Members can sign in guests for less.
