Take a Look Inside Piranha Café
Did you know that inside Piranha Café is a space ship, a tavern, a Vampire's dining hall and a little bit of Japan too? Not quite what you'd expect to be tucked away in Truro, Cornwall!
We've decorated our rooms and spaces thematically to add some extra enjoyment to your experience; whether you want to play Dungeons & Dragons in Gothic style, Star Wars X-wing in the HMS Piranha, board games in a temple... or simply sip your coffee in the Aztec room!
The Jolly Boggle Tavern
The Jolly Boggle is our resident tavern, hidden inside Piranha Café.
The perfect space for a pirate to relax after a hard days plundering, it makes for a cosy space for some more private gaming too.

The Spaceship: HMS Piranha
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, the HMS Piranha decided to make an interstellar jump to Truro, Cornwall where it's since been decommissioned.
The perfect place for tabletop gaming, our space ship themed room is a great space for hosting larger gatherings, clubs and groups; from quiz nights to Warhammer 40k tournaments and cosplay talks, the HMS piranha is a vessel waiting to be crewed.
- Seats 20-30

The Vampire Dining Hall
Little is know about the family that occupied the upstairs of Piranha Café in time since passed...apart from the mutterings of muffled screams, voracious laughter and bat-like sounds that echoed down Pydar Street for those fortunate enough to be alive to hear them.
They've left behind a rather dark yet delightful dining hall though; home to family portraits, Gothic décor, detailed cornicing, 2 large tables and a fireplace, perfect for larger, more intimate gatherings.
This space makes for a great venue for games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Vampire the Masquerade.
- Seats 10-16
- Perfect for tabletop roleplaying games
The Happiness Shrine
If you couldn't tell from what we sell in the Happy Piranha store next door, we're big Japan fans, so have brought a little bit home with us.
Our very own happiness shrine is adorned with flags and lanterns from Tokyo's infamous Kappabashi Dōgugai (Kitchen Town) and guarded by authentic Takasaki Daruma dolls, complete with a Tori gate entrance.
It makes for a great place to relaxc and play a game with a bubble tea.
- Seats 5-8
- Perfect for Japanophiles
The Mayan Room
As you enter Piranha Cafe you'll discover to the left a private curtained room. Adventure inside and you'll find an exotic space, perfect for group gatherings.
Our Mayan themed room is full of foliage, skulls and curious artefacts, left behind by a once much greater empire... including some tables perfect for playing D&D and board games, or meeting for a book club!
- Seats 8-10
- Perfect for groups adventuring together
The Medieval & Elven Area
Your first port of call at Piranha Cafe will be elven area, home to a peculiar table, hewn from ancient tree from some magical forest... or so we like to say.
Onwards and you'll enter our open medieval area, complete with castle wall, swords and shields and a fortress door that has a worryingly familiar eye peering through the view box... Best not let him in...he might scare the patrons away.
- Seats 16 - 20
- Perfect for a royal hangout
Coming Soon: The Secret Lab
We've only just started clearing out the other upstairs room and have already started to notice signs of some suspicious past activity.
Someone's been experimenting up here, someone mad.
Let's just hope the results were for the benefit of science and not something more deranged...
