This pretty, decorative cast resin ram skull is engraved with scrimshaw foliate forms symbolising the eternal cycle of birth and regrowth.
Inspired by the cult of Ammon, a deity who was initially venerated by the Libya desert tribes and eventually made his way to the Egyptians, who identified him with their supreme god Amun. Ammon was usually depicted with ram horns atop his head.
